Established in 2019, Sussex Stalking Support aims to bring people together to reduce the impact of stalking. Through group work and one-to-one support, we aim to fill the significant gap in services designed for individuals who are affected by the relentless and isolating nature of stalking. Serving Brighton and Sussex, we sensitively address the broad and complex issues entailed in these experiences.
Due to the relentless and repetitive nature of being stalked, some are diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder or complex PTSD. This makes it difficult to address the ongoing and long-term impact on individuals.
Trauma affects people in different ways, but commonly shatters a sense of security, feelings of hope, and connection with others. It is our belief that people should have the opportunity to feel part of the local community and get involved in projects which help to improve their lives and the lives of those around them.
